Kind Words

“Tonya did an amazing job capturing our wedding day. I picked her as I had seen her beautiful work, but I wanted someone who was easy going and friendly which she most certainly is. She has a natural ability to capture beautiful moments and will not disappoint!” – Jenna Drew-Brook

“Tonya captured all the special moments of our intimate wedding in a professional and seemingly effortless fashion. She provided our sneak peak photos in record speed and was an overall joy to work with.” – Lori Rose

“Tonya was wonderful to work with! Our wedding photos are stunning. We never felt rushed or pressured, she allowed everything to unfold naturally and captured it as it happened. She is professional and pleasant to be around. And we LOVED seeing all the photos of our friends and family at our wedding. We’ll definitely continue to work with Tonya in the future!” – Robyn Whyte

“Tonya was an absolute pleasure to have shoot our wedding! She is professional but also extremely friendly so that even my camera shy husband didn’t feel awkward in front of the camera. The photos we got from our special day were absolutely stunning. My favourite ones are the candid shots that she captures so effortlessly. Not to mention the quick turnaround (I’ve heard nightmares on how long some photographers take!). Highly recommend!” – Dana Caswell

“Tonya’s photography is amazing. She has an incredibly creative way of capturing the emotions and candid moments that are so precious. We are beyond happy with our wedding pictures and would definitely recommend Tonya!” – Erin Fox

FAQs

How long have you been a wedding photographer?

I began professional wedding photography in 2015 where I spent an entire season second shooting alongside a very talented local photographer. I learned sooooo much and gained lots of experience that year to allow me to confidently take on my own wedding clients the following year. I have photographed over 25 + weddings and take on a limited number of wedding clients per year.

How far in advance are you booking?

I am currently booking for 2019 and 2020.

Is it important to have an engagement session?

I highly recommend having an engagement session done! This is the perfect opportunity for us to get to know each other behind and in front of the camera. Feeling shy? Don’t love having your picture taken? Then please, please, please go for an engagement session. I promise by the time we are done you will feel so comfortable in front of the camera and when your wedding rolls around, you won’t even notice us there!

Do you shoot with a second shooter?

All of my packages include a second shooter as I find it so beneficial to have two photographers documenting your wedding day. This ensures that we literally have the entire day covered from both the bride and groom getting ready, to extra candids of friends/family during the ceremony, cocktail hour, all of the amazing detail shots, the reception and more!

If you don’t think you would like a second shooter then just let me know and we can chat about other options!

Can I provide you with a list of shots that I would like on our wedding day?

I think it’s great that you might be brainstorming ideas/poses for your wedding day… probably scrolling through Pinterest saving some ‘must have photos’ to try and replicate. BUT here’s the thing… when we are given a must have ‘shot list’ it is essentially taking us both out of our element and spending time trying to recreate and set up this ‘perfect pose’ or moment. Whereas I love to hang back and document your day based on how it unfolds… all of the raw emotions, moments, candids… the real feelings of the day. I want to tell your story through visuals and when you look back on your photos I want you to relive that day over and over again. So if you’re interested in booking with me I promise I will catch all of those special moments for you, so please trust in me (not a shot list)!

I think we would be a great fit! How does the booking process work?

Head on over to my contact page and fill in the required information. I will check to see if I’m available for your date then I will send you my wedding packages and pricing. I require a non-refundable deposit and signed contract to secure your date. Then we can meet up for a cup of coffee and discuss all the details of your wedding and I can answer any questions you might have!

How long after the wedding will we receive our photos?

I will send you a little sneak peak shortly after the wedding and then your full edited online gallery will be available within 6-10 weeks after your wedding day. Any ordered prints or photo books will be delivered after that.
